Tarene’s Visit
Thor considered that for a moment, brows drawing inward as he did. “That’s a different thing, then. Odin calculates benefit, you’re talking about being saved as something to be earned. I’ve never asked whether the people I save deserve it, only whether they need it. I don’t know you well enough to say what you deserve, although you seem like a good person, but I think you should save others without sacrificing yourself.”
“That would be ideal, wouldn’t it?” She said, nervously laughing. Conversations like this always brought out the worst in Tarene, if she could’ve saved her planet by destroying herself she would have. The deaths of all those billions of people would never leave her, it weight on her constantly. Pushing these thoughts from her mind, she shook her head and looked up to Thor. “Regardless… a pizza is about to be sacrificed this day.”
“Yes,” said Thor, smiling at her. “Let us go and have some prepared for sacrifice.”
